How do i teach someone to quilt?? When I really don’t know how myself???

My sister wants to learn to quilt but, I really dont know how myself. The last time i even did any quilting I was under 13 and I didn’t do it by myself. So how do I help my sister?????
My sister even lives in amother state . I KNOW I CAN NOT TEACH HER!!!!! But, How do I go about getting her help???? She is the one who wants to learn . But I don’t know how to get her started besides telling her to go to Hastings and buying her a book.

Simple…go to the library or the net and find the instructions. There are magazines which deal with these sort of crafts, for example. Better yet, find out if your community has a “quilting club” and both of you join up. Either way, this can become a fun project which you and your sister can share in.
