scrap quilting

To all of you who sew,have you ever heard of or made a “pillow quilt” or “puff quilt”?

I would love to hear your story.I have made several and gave them as gifts.The ones I make are easy,just cut out squares (mine are 5”) serge up three sides,stuff lightly,serge the end.Make these from any fabric you like.I used up a lot of scraps I accumulated over time.Then sew the “pillows” together to make one long strip,then make another strip,and sew the strips together until you get the size quilt you want.I don’t use stretch fabrics tho,doesn’t work too well but most any other fabric works ok.They are lightweight and warm.All my friends say they are beautiful.Soooo tell me your story and any other ideas you may have.I also made a handbag from these little pillows,turned out real nice,something different.I haven’t seen one in a store anywhere.You can find a pic of my first quilt on my 360 page….Thanks a bunch
